We are volunteers — coincidentally, both Annies! — whose goal is to connect people in our community with faces and spaces for mutual support during the harder family-building journey. We are continually inspired by the camaraderie and open hearts of the people we meet.
Annie Kuo is personally acquainted with pregnancy loss and pursued egg freezing with the uphill battle of diminished ovarian reserve. Annie is a RESOLVE advocate for family-building legislation at the state and national levels. In 2014 and 2015, she voluntarily organized two rounds of a program based on the book Fully Fertile: A 12-Week Plan for Optimal Fertility. On her first Advocacy Day in DC, RESOLVE encouraged Annie to evolve it into a RESOLVE support group for Seattle, which was born Oct. 2015.
Annie Hand was diagnosed with a balanced translocation ten years ago after a family member also received the diagnosis. After almost four years and two rounds of IVF, unsuccessful transfers, and miscarriages, she and her husband are now pursuing a family through gestational surrogacy. Annie is very excited to begin co-hosting the RESOLVE Greenwood group in Nov. 2016.
